For the 70th Anniversary of the Appeal of 18 June 1940, UNIVEM was in Meudon for the official commemorations and brought several vehicles.
For the 65th Anniversary of the German attack in the Ardennes in December 1944, UNIVEM participated in the event organised by the Indian Head Association. The restoration of this very rare vehicle was launched in 2006. Final work was done in 2009,just before the Normandy D-Day commemorations. Congratulation to Philippe for the restoration of a very rare vehicle!
Fortunately enough this year was not as wet as last year. We went with the M26 Pacific. Big time of this year, a stop by Arras on the Saturday’s convoy. Several other heavy vehicles were part of the convoy, such as another Pacific, several types of Diamond T or a M18 Hellcat Tank Destroyer.
UNIVEM was present in Puteaux with several vehicles for the 8 May 1945 commemorations.
For Retromobile 2009 UNIVEM brought a Jeep Willys SAS in the inside, and two M26 Pacific on the outside! Also to note this year: Saumur Tank Museum brought a Kettenkrad, a Goliath and a missile-launcher Jeep.
