{"id":8322,"date":"2016-06-14T01:53:06","date_gmt":"2016-06-13T23:53:06","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/univem-paris.com\/home\/"},"modified":"2025-01-16T20:19:43","modified_gmt":"2025-01-16T19:19:43","slug":"","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/univem-paris.com\/en\/","title":{"rendered":"Home"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><style>\/*! elementor - v3.8.0 - 30-10-2022 *\/<br \/>\n.elementor-widget-image{text-align:center}.elementor-widget-image a{display:inline-block}.elementor-widget-image a img[src$=\".svg\"]{width:48px}.elementor-widget-image img{vertical-align:middle;display:inline-block}<\/style><\/p>\n<h1 style=\"text-align: center;\">Univem Association<\/h1>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">\u00a0<\/p>\n<h2>Who are we?<\/h2>\n<p>\u201cUNIVEM is a non-profit association to preserve the heritage of World War II military vehicles.\u00a0 The association owns a fleet of about 50 vehicles, most of them in running conditions : Tanks, Jeeps, Dodge, GMC, Half-Tracks, and trucks of all sorts.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>UNIVEM members are all volunteers and restore these vehicles to maintain them in working condition.<\/p>\n<p>UNIVEM participes to ceremonies and commemorations of the World War II events and organize expos to show and drive the vehicules.<\/p>\n<p>UNIVEM acts as a living museum that keeps alive the memory of those who designed them, drove them and battled with them.<\/p>\n<p>UNIVEM presents its collection to the public and proposes vehicles for historical movies.<\/p>\n<p>UNIVEM gathers about 180 members, all volunteers, with special skills on Diesel and Gas mechanics, Auto Electricity, Auto Body Building or reshaping, Body Painting, Truck &amp; Crane driving or towing.<\/p>\n<p>We have also knowledge about historical events, and keep the memories of the military units and accomplishments. \u00a0<\/p>\n<h2>\u00a0<\/h2>\n<h2>What do we do?<\/h2>\n<p>Our activities include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>salvation and restoration of\u00a0military vehicles,<\/li>\n<li>regular maintenance to keep our fleet in working order,<\/li>\n<li>participation in celebrations: End of War celebrations in cities all along the track from D-Day Landings and the Battle of Normandy up to the Belgium border<\/li>\n<li>Public events: Antique Auto Shows, Air Shows, Military Shows,<\/li>\n<li>movies, TV shows, magazines articles, etc.<\/li>\n<li>Yearly celebration of D-Day, UNIVEM organizes a big event at Omaha Beach in Normandy: our \u201cDog Green Camp\u201d covered 15 acres, gathered 400 participants coming from 14 countries, 21 clubs, 175 vehicles, and 4 convoys were organized in the countryside.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>\u00a0<\/h2>\n<h2>The Collection<\/h2>\n<p>Most of our collection comes from the allied forces from the World War II (1939-1945), and from The French 2nd Armored Division driven by General Leclerc, Mar\u00e9chal de France.<\/p>\n<p>Jeep, Dodge, GMC (cargo, workshop, gas tank, \u2026) including GMC DUKW (amphibius), half-track White and International, Pacific armored tow truck and its Sherman Tank trailer, French 4&#215;4 LAFFLY V 15 T, Studebaker Weasel M 29, Tow trucks Diamond T 969 A, Ward la France and Scammell Pioneer, Semi-trailer International M425 H542-9, Sherman Tank M4A4 and Ford M8 and others&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>When visiting Paris, do not miss the opportunity to visit our collection.\u00a0 Our facilities are active on tuesdays and saturdays\u00a0 We can organize visits for individuals or groups, you can contact us through the site \u201ccontact us\u201d page.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>*UNIVEM = Union Nationale des collectionneurs de V\u00e9hicules Militaires<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Univem Association \u00a0 Who are we?
