In september 2019, a GMC CCKW 353 equipped with a Leroi compressor joined the UNIVEM collection. The truck is almost complete and in good shape but several details are to be fixed (gear box, oil leak in the engine, electrical wiring,…).
A first diassemblage is done with the engine in December 2019.
Eventually, at the begining of 2020, the cab is also taken down. The idea is to deal first with the front of the truck so that it can be driven in a relatively short period of time. The chassis is sanded. A small crack is discovered and directly fixed.
