This year is the 75th Anniversary of the liberation of Paris and its surroundings. For this occasion, the city of Aulnay-sous-Bois organized on the 31st August 2019 several ceremonies and exhibitions in the city. UNIVEM was in charge of the vehicle part with two Half-Tracks, the DUKW, two GMC CCKW, two Dodge Command Cars and several Jeeps.
At 10:30 a cerenomy took place Place du Général de Gaulle. There was then a tribute to two members of the French Resistance Louis Barrault and Henri Gastaud in the Parc Dumont. A last ceremony was held Place du Général Leclerc before a parade of military vehicles in the streets of the city.
A noon, vehicles were gathered in front of the town hall for the vernissage of the exhibition “Summer of freedom 1944-2019” A German PAK40 gun from a private collector was exhibited next to our vehicles. In the afternoon, rides in Jeep and GMC for the public were organised: still a success!
