Again, UNIVEM was invited by the “Vincennes en Anciennes” association (an association of classic cars) to attend the arrival of their famous event, the “Traversée de Paris”: hundreds of classic cars driving through Paris on Sunday morning. The finish line being in the castle of Meudon, which is on the edge of a wooded plateau, that offers views of the Seine and Paris.
UNIVEM came with about thirty members and twenty vehicles. Theme was about a 2nd French Armored Division camp with tents, a field kitchen with a Jeep and the Scout Car. Other vehicles that were brought: International M425, the GMC DUKW, the Half-Track M16 and the M10 trailer, Dodge WC56 and 58 Command Car, Jeep Navy and SAS, Jeeps from members, and also the Renault VBL prototype. The interest was high from the public!
Beautiful weather (even a bit too hot!) made this day a great success that has to be renewed next year!
